Myths, folklores and mysticism could be as sustaining as reality - sometimes even more so. There is a strange emptiness to life without all of them. I see folktales and myths as humankind's first stories. They are a kind of collective dreaming, filled with timeless symbols and images we can all relate to, regardless of age or culture. And Mystical experiences do not necessarily supply new ideas to the mind, rather, they transform what one believes into what one knows, converting abstract concepts, such as divine love, into vivid, personal, realities.

 

In these series of works, Myths, rituals, folklore, legends, and magic are woven together. I like them all. They aren't adult stories and they weren't children's stories. They are better than that. They just are.
